A former student of the Gadsden School District, Karen Lara, was featured on a video made by the Arizona Department of Education’s 21st Century Community Learning Centers in which she talks about the importance and effectiveness of after school programs.
If you participated on Science Day, the event hosted virtually by the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers and the University of Arizona, you will recognize both of these websites. The websites were a part of the Scratch and Circuit Building workshops and we wanted to provide you all the links so that you can have access to them if you’d like to. If you are not familiar with them, go ahead and give them a try!

Experiment with an electronics kit! Build circuits with batteries, resistors, light bulbs, fuses, and switches. Determine if everyday objects are conductors or insulators, and take measurements with an ammeter and voltmeter.
